advice on propane forge ventilation

I usually forge right in my backyard, but winter is making that brutal! I want to run my propane forge with the shop doors closed.
what's the safest way to vent this thing? do I need a big exhaust hood and fan setup (like for coal), or do I need a fresh air intake? I'll definitely have a CO detector, but I want the right system in place. thoughts?

When I was forging stuff in my garage, I figured a broken window was good enough. My carbon monoxide detector kept going off. I put in a real hood and an air intake, and it made things way safer.

I recall setting up a propane forge in my shop once when it was totally freezing out. I tried it once without any air moving, and I got dizzy fast. After that, I put together a hood with some ducting and a fan, plus I made sure fresh air could get in. I've been safe ever since.
