Advice on tinted safety glasses for forging

I’ve been learning blacksmith basics from my uncle in Texas and while he wears old flipdown goggles, I’ve been using cheap clear safety glasses. I’d like something tinted that still meets safety standards. Since I didn't see this topic covered yet, are there specific lenses that work better for forge work than regular shop glasses?

When you're doing forge work, go for shaded IR safety lenses (like shade 3–5). They shield your eyes from the heat and glare way better than clear ones. Just be sure they meet the ANSI Z87.1 standards

Also, think about getting glasses that wrap around your face or have side shields. They're better at keeping sparks and bits of stuff out of your eyes compared to regular glasses. Plus, they still give you the shading you want.

I'd also check out lenses that don't fog up and resist scratches. And don't forget about comfort, adjustable nose pads and light frames can be a lifesaver when you're working for a long time.
