You’ve been hammering away, your back aching and your strikes feeling a bit off. Finally, you tweak the anvil height, and suddenly, it feels… different.

How did this adjustment affect your control, fatigue, or bounce? Did it really live up to the hype for your workflow?

I tried adjusting the height after a rough session with back pain. It took a minute to get used to it, but my control shot up, my shoulders stopped hurting, and the rebound on the steel felt like it actually worked with me.

I raised my anvil just a couple of inches, and wow my arms didn’t turn to jelly after a couple of hours.
The strikes feel sharper, my back aches less, and the bounce is actually useful instead of a pain.
Total game-changer.

I lowered mine a bit after hunching for too long. The first few minutes felt strange, but then I noticed way better control and way less fatigue. I didn’t realize how much I was compensating until it felt… almost effortless.

Adjusted the height last week after reading some tips.
Honestly, my hammer started landing where I aimed instead of bouncing everywhere.
My shoulder fatigue dropped, my posture got better, and even the stubborn steel acted nicer.
Totally worth it.

I moved the anvil up a bit, and it’s like a whole new world. Strikes feel smoother, I don’t buckle mid-session, and that bounce actually helps me find my rhythm instead of throwing me off.
