To my fellow Iron Men @ Ladies...I started blacksmithing when I was 40. I went back to school, Austin Community College in Austin, TX and got a degree in it. My previous degrees, years ago, are in Psychology. I looked around awhile and found one of the best programs in the country right in my own backyard at ACC. I moved to Capitan, New Mexico and opened my own shop. I make metal art, furniture, architectural hardware, blades and pretty much anything someone wants. Most of my business is welding for ranchers etc. Blacksmithing goes back in my family for generations. I still love it!!! I also teach classes in blacksmithing it for Eastern New Mexico University in Ruidoso. I'm always happy to connect with others to share what I know and learn something new.
