Orphaned iron !!

Driving home yesterday, laying along the road was orphaned iron waiting to be picked up. 3 feet of 1/2 inch square stock attached to a soft rubber truck mud flap. That square stock makes nice door handles with a twist in the center. The ends can be flattened, split and made into decorative rams horns or hearts. Free iron !!

That’s a good find right there. Free stock is hard to beat, and 1/2” square is perfect for practicing twists and small decorative work. Turning scraps like that into functional pieces is half the fun of the craft.
