It happens to the best of us, and we often tell ourselves it'll be different next year. So, what are some straightforward strategies you've used to save money during the holidays? Last year, I totally overspent, too. What really helped was setting a strict spending limit for gifts and making some presents myself. It took a load off my mind and made the whole thing way more fun.

One year, I spent way too much just on food. Now, I map out my meals way in advance and buy stuff bit by bit over a few weeks. Spreading it out like that keeps it from creeping up on me. I barely even feel the pinch in December.

I don't want to be over the budget, right? so, since last year's holiday, I use only cash. I withdraw by budget amount in cash and use only that for all holiday shopping
this can make think twice before buying or paying for anything, also makes me more dicipline with money
