I'm ready to jump into knife making and start some basic blacksmithing. Super excited!
I've been scrolling through ebay and amazon looking at forges, but everything looks the same. Can anyone suggest a solid, reliable beginner forge that won't totally break the bank?
Looking for something that'll get me striking steel without too much hassle!

I just snagged a cheap single-burner from Amazon to get started nothing special, but it let me get to pounding steel right away.

When I was just starting out, instead of spending a ton, I put together a simple propane forge from a kit. It wasn’t the best, but it taught me how to control the heat and time my hammer strikes. I got a better forge later, but that first setup helped me believe I could do this.

When I first got into this, I picked up a Devil Forge on eBay. It didn't cost too much, kept the heat in, and let me make my first knives without worrying too much about the equipment.
