I have had a bit of an issue getting in as the site wouldn't allow me to register. I finally got in this morning. I have been the blacksmith at Robbins Crossing Historical Village for the last 14 years. I volunteer during the summer into early fall and do demonstrations for the public on the weekends. I forge items that would have been made during that time period and show what a blacksmith did in a small village. The site represents a small village in the 1850's. There are 8 original 1800's Ohio log homes there was were taken down around ohio in the 1970's and re-erected on the Robbins Crossing site. It is on the campus of Hocking Tech in Nelsonville Ohio. They have a historical interpretation program and the students use the village for that. Every year I teach blacksmithing to the college students that have an interest in learning the trade.
