Front sight change

I have a Sharps style 45/70 with a front blade that I am going to replace with a Globe sight with a spirit level. The barrel cut is dovetail. Sold by Taylor's and I believe manufacture was/is Chiappa. In order to prevent recoil sight drift/movement after install is there a preference for "locking" it in? Locktite 222 Purple vs violin rosin vs shellac vs nothing needed?
