A large stretch of the U.S. from the southern Plains all the way to the Northeast is bracing for snow, ice, and some seriously record-breaking cold. Millions might find themselves without power, roads are going to be treacherous, and wind chills could plummet to dangerously low levels.

Stay smart. Stay safe. Get prepared ahead of time. Only hit the road if it’s absolutely necessary.

Quick check: Who’s filling up their gas tanks? And for those EV owners without garages, how do you plan to keep your vehicles charged? Is everyone stocked up on heating and cooking fuel?

Here in Minnesota, the snow just won't quit. Been sticking to warm drinks and taking my time with shoveling definitely learned not to rush from past experiences. Stay safe out there, folks!

we got 18+ inches in my yard, drifted to 2 feet. and a blizzard coming on this week end. WOW! I can hardly wait. after 82 years I should be used to it? not so. but me and the wife refuse to be snow birds. I live next to Conn.
