I'm new to indoor forging and want to be as safe as possible. What safety gear do I need, and how should I set up my ventilation? Any tips are welcome!

You'll for sure need a leather apron, face shield, gloves, and some good boots. To keep the air clean, use a fume hood or a fan that sucks air outwards. Make sure the air is moving away from you.

remember to always wear the glasses, even under the face shield. When peering into the forge, wear IR (Infrared) protection glasses to prevent permanent eye damage from the intense light/heat. also wear a pair of heat resistant gloves (Leather/Kevlar) & a Leather/flame retardant apron
