Hey Greg! I just saw your post from August. Every smith starts out by turning clean steel into what we like to call 'experienced' scrap. My first projects didn't look like much either.

Hope you've had some good hammer time in the last couple of months. Have you tried making any of the classic beginner projects, like S-hooks or bottle openers?

Would be cool to see an update if you get a chance to post one!
