Staying home or hitting the road?

I can’t help but remember a Thanksgiving where I ended up playing board games with some strangers at a spontaneous potluck. It was such a joyful time, full of laughter and new connections sometimes it’s the journey that matters more than the turkey. How do you like to celebrate the holidays?

Sounds like a great time I once had a Thanksgiving where we got snowed in at a neighbor’s house and we ended up playing cards with some folks we didn’t really know. It became one of my favorite holidays! Now I prefer to keep things simple just good food and good company nothing too fancy.

For me it’s all about those family cookouts. Growing up we’d fire up the grill instead of sticking to the usual turkey and those backyard meals turned into our cherished holiday tradition
