You ever catch yourself looking at your layout table and realizing it’s slowly turned into the workshop equivalent of a kitchen junk drawer? haha, I set mine up with the noble intention of having a clean, flat surface dedicated purely to precise measurements, clean setups, and actual layout work. Fast forward a few months, and it’s covered in tongs, half finished projects, a coffee mug, a random hammer I swore I put back, and a stack of notes I can barely read.
It’s funny how a perfectly flat table seems to act like a magnet for every tool and offcut in a ten foot radius. I keep telling myself “I’ll clear it off before the next layout,” but by then it’s practically a sculpture of good intentions and bad habits
