I'm new to blacksmithing and found an old pair of tongs at a flea market. One side is bent and the jaws don't close right. I want to fix them but I don't have the tools or skills yet Is there a way to find a local blacksmith who can help or maybe let me watch and learn? I live in a small town, so not many options here. Or if you can recommend any videos online? Any advice would be great!

You can also look for DF - In The Shop on YouTube. I have been following this guy and his videos helped me a lot.
You don't need fancy to adjust tongs.. you can literally use a (hand held) propane torch and a hammer and a concrete block (edges up) to straighten and align them. If you need them set to a specific stock size you need a piece of what you want to hold..I'm new to blacksmithing and found an old pair of tongs at a flea market. Be carefull if it's your wifes favorite concrete block... it is fitting not forging.
