Prepped the 5.5-gallon oval washtub, drilled and inserted the tuyere, built a 2 X 10 stand for it with a shelf for the blower to attach to and mixed and patted in my adobe made of 2 parts fire clay, 2 parts sand, 1 part wood ashes. Now to let it cure. It won't be taking the usual two weeks with our weather here: 90s, winds and single-digit humidities -- "red flag" weather. I'll always be thankful to Tim Lively for this simple design.
