I didn’t go to blacksmithing class, but I’ve been helping my uncle sometimes.
I want to start doing my own project, what would I need to start small as a beginner to make little projects like knives?

I ditch classes and learned by doing stuff hands-on. A simple forge, tongs, files, and lots of practice will get you far. Don’t buy a bunch of tools. Skill is what you need at first.

I get you. Begin with a simple forge, a decent hammer, something solid to work on, and some plain steel.
If you learn how to control the heat first, things get easier.

just wanna say that hands on is great, but don't skip the safety gear. get some good eye protection and a pair of gloves first. Aside from the forge and anvil, focus on getting a few good files and some sandpaper. the finish work is where a knife really comes together

I completely agree, safety should always come first, and having the right finishing tools really matters.
