As you get older, every December brings back memories of how magical Christmas used to feel when you were growing up. There’s likely one tradition that really sticks out in your mind. Which Christmas tradition from your younger days do you long for the most?

The tradition I miss the most is staying up late with my siblings, trying to catch Santa. We never managed to do it, of course, but the thrill was something else. That kind of magic is tough to recreate as an adult.

For me, it’s that candlelight service on Christmas Eve. When I was a kid, it felt like the entire world just paused for that one peaceful hour. I still long for that feeling every December.

I can’t help but remember our big family breakfast before opening gifts. It wasn’t anything extravagant, just everyone squeezed into the kitchen, laughing together. As we’ve all moved on with our lives, that tradition has faded, but I miss it every year.
