Hey! When you’re at the forge, which tongs do you find yourself using the most? Are they store-bought, or did you craft them yourself?

I’m eager to hear what works best for everyone.

I usually just grab tongs from the store. Got a couple when I first started, and they've done the job well enough that I haven't felt the need to get new ones.

But, I gotta say I love the ones I make myself. I built my first pair in a weekend class ages ago, and they've become my favorites ever since.

I do a little of both, actually. I went with store-bought at first because it was easy, but after tweaking a bunch to work for certain things, I saw that making them myself got me exactly what I wanted.

I usually grab my flat-jaw tongs from the store. They're easy to hold and always work. I tried making my own once, but they didn't grip well. So, I'm sticking with the store-bought ones for now.

To tell you the truth, I've got a little of everything. Some simple tongs I got at the store, but also some I made so they would fit some weird stuff I had. Using those homemade ones, for sure, feels nice.
